Ancient History, Redacted Records and Why Are We Here?

Photo Art, spacelike shot, goldenWe humans have such an interesting history when you read from the spiritual and “mythological” recordings left us by people like Rudolf Steiner and Edgar Cayce: We are beings, children of the Divine One, who were tempted away from paradise by a fallen divinity who promised us hidden knowledge. We became free-willed beings prematurely, Steiner says, and were lost from home, feeling guilty and confused.

Then there are the stories of Atlantis, where we developed spiritual powers and perhaps used crystals to generate energy, then used them against each other to the point of the destruction of everything, kind of like a ‘nuclear’ war. Some say humans mixed with animals in the ancient past, creating the half man/half beasts like the Centaur. I guess our Creator didn’t like that and put a stop to it with DNA corrections. Vampires and wolf-men live in the great unconscious mind of humanity, as do many other spooky things.

We humans might have been wiped off of Earth four times now. Every culture has a story of a Great Flood. The planet shows marks of a multitude of comet craters, with some blasts so large, the Earth was likely knocked off its axis, resulting in severe weather changes. Of course, there are the ancient cave drawings of “spacemen” and speculation of off-world visitors and maybe even that some of us are mixed-blood descendants of these beings. I love the mysterious and unknown and wonder if these things could be true. This wondering causes a person to be labeled wacky—but what if they are true? Would it change the way you see yourself and life?

The typical history book doesn’t record these things. Hah! Many things that happened in the modern era have been removed or modified in history books. Certain people control what we are and aren’t allowed to know and wherever white men have slaughtered and conquered and enslaved others, the records have been “redacted.” It’s interesting that some white folks consider themselves to be the pure race, the “deserve to be large and in charge” folks, but it is the white race that generally has been so impure, so destructive to other races and the planet. Anything goes when large-and-in-charge wants what he wants.

Regardless of what happened in the ancient past or what we’re allowed to know about humankind’s physical history, what’s important is that we realize that we are spiritual beings who come from the spiritual world, who take on physical bodies to grow. Because we “fell” here, we have to grow here. Not that we can’t grow in the spiritual world, but I guess that depends a lot on how we lived. Apparently, the more we remember here that we are spiritual beings (souls), members of God’s body, the more growth-work we can do on the other side.

There are two roads to choose from on Earth: Become consumed by the heaviness of living our desires, and the mad rush of our tech-driven lives; or step back and ask some questions. Who am I? Why am I here? Am I more than a body? Is there more to life than me-me-me? Me-me-me shuts down our view from the mountain top and our path becomes constricted and straight, like riding a bullet train. The pauser and questioner sees a broader expanse, feels compassion for others not as blessed as he is, and wants to see through the veil to the “more” place. It’s beautiful, peaceful and quiet there. It’s healing, connectedness and Spirit-driven, spontaneous and light.

How does that sound to you? Is it scary or worth exploring? Only you can decide how you will spend your life, but I am a witness of flying time. One day you’re twenty-five, the next you’re sixty-five. We can all at least remember: “There is More,” so that when we’re ready, those words will dance through our minds on wings of light, leading us into a quiet space within where we can lie back on the grass, gaze at the periwinkle expanse above and link up with the Great Mystery, ready to find the answers to our deepest questions.

We are children of Love, and Love awaits.

Angel Notes on Easter Weekend

Angel says NoI’m slowly reading Edgar Cayce on Angels, Archangels and the Unseen Forces by Robert J. Grant. I had a long wait the other day, though, and got to read for a couple hours. One interesting idea from the Cayce readings is that God created all souls to have free will; we all knew then that we were of God and we created in relationship with God.

God’s Number One, Lucifer, began to envy God and started playing around with creation. I guess it was pretty thrilling and he began to move away from God, taking with him souls who wanted the same independence. Some souls didn’t go—they are who we call angels. Some moved away a little but still could feel God. The ones who fell farthest are us, the people of Earth. We are aware of our ‘deal with the devil’ now, aren’t we?

Grant says there is a great debate about whether or not the ‘falling away’ was part of God’s plan. Cayce said it was an unintended error and God wants us all to come home. Apparently, the creatures of mythology (giants, centaurs, etc) were real. They were the bodies created by the first souls who followed Lucifer into darkness. There was no way for them/us to sense God’s light in those bodies, so our human bodies were designed with seven spiritual centers. These can be activated safely through spiritual practices such as meditation, so that we may find our way home. After a while, Jesus Christ came to Earth to experience being human, activate the centers, and show us how to get home, for which he was killed. Many of us are thinking of Him this weekend. Where are the Fallen Angels?

dark angelThis is an interesting paragraph from the book, Edgar Cayce on Angels, Archangels and the Unseen Forces by Robert J. Grant:

“There is a tendency to believe in the fallen angels or demons only when one hears of hauntings or in cases of exorcism. These manifestations are indeed rare and do not account for a large percentage of evil influences in the earth. Evil manifests in a variety of ways, just as virtue appears in countless forms. The important point is that evil or disharmony is a choice; the fallen are only in that state of existence when the choice is made to twist creative abilities into destructive ones. Where there is manipulation, oppression, war, famine, governmental control of religious belief, there exist the fallen ones.”

Grant goes on to say that God put into place a system in which the fallen will bring onto themselves the ultimate destruction. I have come to agree that God/Love will not force anyone into Heaven. There is no Light available to a soul who consciously uses God-given energy to create destruction, deciding, in essence, to compete with the God of Light.

An Intro to “Secrets of the Ancient World”

cayce bookI’ve been reading SECRETS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD by Little and Van Auken. While most of Edgar Cayce’s (the Sleeping Prophet) readings were about healing for those who asked him for help, sometimes in explaining what was going on with them, information came about other subjects such as Creation and the fall from heaven.

While in a trance state, Cayce described the five root races. When spiritual, free-will companions of the Creator grew curious about the rest of creation, they projected themselves into a denser world and became the first root race. The second root race occurred when these fluid beings created humanoid forms, which they occupied.

Over millions of years, these humans lost more of their connection to the Creator and could no longer come and go out of the forms they created. They retained some of their spiritual powers, but used them mostly for selfish reasons. They created ‘things,’ thought-projections in animal/human and plant/human forms, to be their slaves. This period coincides with the origins of Atlantis, about 200,000 B.C. and they were the third root race.

The Intelligence that spoke through Cayce, says that Creation consisted of Continue reading

40-Days to Real Forgiveness, My Story Using J. Everett Irion’s Wisdom

Forgiveness. Jeez, what a subject. The deeper the shock of betrayal, the more we need to experience and process our pain—and the more we need to forgive. But forgiveness is hard. After years of therapy, I know that forgiveness is strongly recommended for our own healing, but it goes against who we are and what happened: “You hurt me. You broke my heart and I will never recover!”

Though I had read the November/December 2007 issue of Edgar Cayce’s Venture Inward magazine when it arrived, I had forgotten its contents. I pulled it out of a stack one day and opened to an article called The 40-Day Forgiveness Prayer By J. Everett Irion. “Hmmm,” I thought. “Forty days? That’s gotta be a serious forgiveness prayer. Could this work?”
